Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
PURPOSE: To provide supervisory oversight for a group(s) of detailers, including coordinating work, ensuring that job standards are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
• Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards.
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.
• Train and develop new rebar detailers
• Supervise detailers, review their work, assist with any reported difficulties, and identify ways to correct deficiencies.
• Responsible for continually reassessing detailing techniques and recommending integrated, cost-effective solutions to improving efficiencies, and participating in the development of recommended actions.
• Efficiently assign and distribute detailing work. Track Teammates’ progress on assigned work.
• Track detailing costs both internally and 3rd party.
• Assist in the performance review process and recommend appropriate salary adjustments as needed for assigned detailing personnel.
• Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college or equivalent
• At least four years of experience as a rebar detailer
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-year technical degree from an accredited school or college
• 3D modeling background preferred
• Thorough knowledge of NRF’s detailing system (RebarCAD)
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience
