Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Towers & Structures Inc, a division of Nucor, the nation's largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Hardware Specialist at our business unit located in Hazleton, PA. Specific job responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Build loads per work order for each structure
- Package items in bag per work order quantity and put in buckets per structure
- Build crates and band together
- Label crates and buckets
- Measure and confirm sizes of hardware
- House keep work area
- Preassembly bolts, washers and nuts if needed
- Scanning of hardware bar codes
- Follow directions as given
- Can do attitude
- Monthly cycle counting
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to read tape measure
- Lift packages, buckets & pallets up to 50/lbs
- Common knowledge of nuts, bolts and washers
- Ability to count
- Able to stand continuously
- Drive standup forklift and standard sit down forklift
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
