Basic Job Functions:

The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing critical financial processes and contributing to the month-end close procedures for their region. The role will include preparing journal entries, conducting balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate monthly accruals, monitoring inventory valuation, and providing support to the group services finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform inventory accounting, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Review and post inventory-related journal entries (production, adjustments, scrap, reclasses, reserves)
  • Perform monthly inventory close activities and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review production orders to ensure materials issued, consumed, produced, and returned are accurately recorded
  • Support operations teams in inventory cycle counts and documentation
  • Review and post regional fixed asset and intercompany transactions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or direct related work experience
  • 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience in US GAAP
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Travel up to 25% for the first 3 months

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP system
  • Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience
