Role Overview
We are looking for a Quality Service Representative to deliver exceptional customer service and drive success within our quality service team
Basic Job Functions
- Customer Support: Receive and document field calls using a “Quality Service Report” form to expedite materials needed for the jobsite.
- Problem-Solving Dialogue: Communicate regularly with customers, utilize a Q&A process to troubleshoot issues, and define effective solutions.
- Investigative Collaboration: Work with teammates, review contracts and erection drawings, and lead efforts to resolve jobsite issues, including proactive site visits.
- Back Charge Management: Review and negotiate back charges when quality concerns require additional materials or labor.
- Quality Improvement: Identify trends and propose solutions during division quality meetings to maintain and enhance standards.
- On-Site Assistance: Travel to jobsites or customer offices, often on short notice, to address issues directly.
- Safety Leadership: Consistently uphold and lead adherence to safety policies, practices, and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft programs, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- At least 2 years metal building or related construction experience.
- Prior experience in customer service, coordination, or direct customer interaction.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Preferred Skills
- Prior Technical Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction, or Engineering related fields.
- Prior experience and/or training with CAD software.
- Prior Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) experience in one or more of the following areas; Detailing, Estimating, Sales, Project Management and/or erection.
