NBSIN Detailing Group Leader

Basic Job Functions:

Be the project manager for building orders through the engineering department ensuring aggressive schedules, scope definition, continual communication, and follow-up.  Along with the supervisor, offer direction, growth, and feedback opportunities to the detailing group, including:

• Setting expectations for progress, productivity, participation, and conduct (quality, quantity, work habits, etc.).
• Maximize department effectiveness through mentoring, coaching and leading individuals to realize and leverage their full potential.
• Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and training of employees.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or General Equivalency Diploma.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software. 
• Willing and able to travel
• Experience in steel construction and/or related industry
• A minimum of one (1) year leadership experience
