Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Insulated Panel Group – Waterloo is seeking a Material Receiver (Loader/Unloader) to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material flow that supports production and on-time customer delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Safely unload and receive incoming raw materials and warehouse parts using forklifts and Combi-Lifts, ensuring accurate inventory and proper storage.
- Verify incoming materials against documentation to ensure all items are accounted for, correctly labeled, and meet quality standards.
- Stage and organize materials to support efficient production flow and outbound shipping.
- Load panel bundles and packaged accessories onto trailers in a safe and secure manner to support on-time delivery.
- Inspect materials during receiving and loading to identify damage and ensure product quality standards are met.
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and shipping teams to maintain smooth material flow and resolve discrepancies.
- Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement while performing additional duties as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Forklift certification at time of hire or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to enter data, update spreadsheets, and create basic documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, cranes, or other industrial machinery) beyond standard warehouse forklifts.
- Previous experience in shipping and/or receiving within a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
