Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Connecticut is seeking qualified applicants for the position of ISO Coordinator. The ISO Coordinator responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of all quality and environmental-related certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AASHTO
  • Facilitate collaboration through all areas of the division to ensure that the best interests of Nucor are being met
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales & Operations to address quality certification requirements and product needs
  • Drive quality and environmental improvement through all areas of the division
  • Coordinate and conduct audits and internal audit training.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-year technical degree or equivalent years of applicable experience
  • Experience with MS products including office and SharePoint

Quality Control Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Training and Development: Identifying the training needs of the division and effectively developing and implementing training and processes to help others improve their knowledge and skills to work safely and effectively. This includes continually evaluating progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in steel manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of ISO standards ISO 9001 and/or 14001
  • Lead Auditor Certification

Compensation Data

Compensation for this position is non-exempt and based on experience with hourly rate range starting at $26.68 per hour.
Position is eligible for ROA Bonus & Profit Share (if applicable)
