Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Group has an opening for the role of District Sales Manager within our Southwest territory. The role of the District Sales Manager consists of, but is not limited to the following:

  • Providing industry leading customer service.
  • Building relationships and rapport with customers.
  • Prospecting for new business.
  • Operating as a liaison between customers and Nucor Trinity operations.
  • Establish annual sales plans and monthly forecast for the assigned region/market, by working with the Sales Manager.
  • Strong organizational skills, with proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time, in an unsupervised environment.
  • Proactive Problem Solving to help the team achieve revenue, shipment, and profitability goals.
  • Extensive face to face interaction with customers


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • 4 - Year degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Sales or Marketing experience in the steel industry
  • Must live or relocate to either Texas within the first 60 days.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight extensively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of A53/Sprinkler/Steel tubing markets
  • A basic knowledge of contracts, standard business practices and human relations

Special Demands

  • Work schedule may include hours beyond the normal business day.
  • This position will require extensive travel and face-to-face interaction with our customers, therefore the candidate must have the ability to drive or fly in their region/market, as required.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding certain customer and internal information.
