Design and implement equipment modifications in the Cold Mill, Hot Mill and/or Galvanizing Line to improve operations. Prepare data extraction and cost, failure and rolling statistical data analyses on synchronized data to drive daily decision making in Cold mill/Galvanizing production. Monitor and analyze rolling process and equipment conditions using data acquisition software ibaPDA and ibaAnalyzer, SQL coding to monitor, analyze rolling process, and equipment conditions. Relate synchronized data from different equipment to assess process behavior and draw conclusions to drive equipment maintenance, improvements, and upgrades. Generate solutions that satisfy customer needs. Coordinate technical assessments with Rolling Technology vendors to improve product quality and process KPI, by optimizing the existing rolling equipment and/or developing and implementing new technologies in the Cold Mill. Evaluate current equipment conditions against OEM (original equipment manufacturer) design to assess any undesired deviation from original equipment standard. Identify areas of opportunity to improve yield in steel processing and reduce scrap generation.
