Project Specialist

Basic Job Functions:

• Detailing / drafting of parts for fabrication using Tekla® (3-D BIM) software.
• Detailing of primary structural framing, secondary framing parts, large assemblies, and fabrication reports
• Preparing presale coordination drawings using Tekla®
• Identify gaps and risks in preliminary scopes of work then develop & execute a plan to resolution.
• Communicate effectively with builders during the presale order process.
• Collaborate with internal & external resources to achieve desired scope clarity.
• Create and adapt Best Practices to improve product quality, service functions and enhance builder relations.
• Multi-tasking between projects, scheduling, pricing, phone & email correspondence
• Work with DSM’s and Inside Sales team to develop dynamic proposals on scopes of work.

•  Work with the project coordinator team on implementation of change orders when required.
• The Candidate must be able to drive and travel when required for customer scope reviews.
• Work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop personalized training for self-improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of direct Pre-Engineered Metal Building detailing experience.
• Experience with 3-D BIM software or Autocad®
• High School or General Equivalency Diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in either Architecture or Construction Technology
• Sound knowledge of metal building construction practices
• Strong aptitude for maintaining multiple tasks and assignments
• Strong written, verbal, and graphical communication skills
• Practical application of BIM technology
• Project Management Experience
