Entry Level Detailer (Structural Draftsman)

Basic Job Functions:

This will include:

• Creating construction drawings using our highly specialized software
• Generating and verifying fabrication drawings and reports
• Generating bill of materials for field construction
• Designing and troubleshooting standardized steel framing conditions with project specific requests
• Ensuring a quality product by thorough contract and design coordination

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree with focus in Architecture or Construction Management
• Training or experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Tekla
• Basic knowledge of standard construction practices
• ccredited training, certification, or professional experience operating Architectural CAD software or 3D Modeling software.
