Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for the Building Services position include but are not limited to:

  • Safety First: Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Grounds & Facility Care: Maintain the overall appearance of the grounds and facility to meet high standards of cleanliness and beautification, including mowing, trash removal, and painting.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform proactive and preventive maintenance on facility structures and lawn equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate powered tools, industrial equipment, and other maintenance machinery required for facility upkeep.
  • Responsiveness: Show urgency in addressing division needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with upstream and downstream team members to address safety, quality, and facility appearance issues.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)

 

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in groundskeeping, facility maintenance, or building services.
  • Ability to safely operate lawn care equipment including tractors, power tools, and industrial maintenance equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and building repairs -Doors, windows, etc.

 

Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
