Autowelder Operator 2nd or 3rd Shift (multiple positions)-NBGTX (Terrell, TX)

Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities for a structural auto welder operator include but are not limited to:

• Trouble shooting problems and changing out consumables as needed.
• Maintaining housekeeping and helping to control consumable cost and scrap.
• Removing all flux from produced parts.
• Filling flux hoppers.
• Operator-level maintenance of machinery.
• Communication up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
• Operating the auto welder machine while making constant adjustments.
• Being flexible to work any schedule needed.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with reading drawings, prints, and weld processes.  
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Crane and forklift certifications.
• Prior experience running an auto welder.
• Weld certification.
• Possess basic understanding of metal building system fabrication
