Basic Job Functions:

The Accounts Payable Administrator fulfills an integral transactional and reporting function in the Finance Department with a focus on customer service to both internal and external customers. Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Match receivers, invoices, and purchase orders daily.
  • After verifying the accuracy of the invoice, purchase order, and receiver, enter the invoices into the accounting software for payment.
  • Perform the weekly payments, via Kyriba for checks and ACH.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.
  • Reconcile AP subledgers to AP general ledger accounts daily.
  • Verify that any invoices received during the month are entered before month end.
  • Run subledger and general ledger reports and verify balances for month end.
  • Perform other job-related duties as defined by finance leadership.

 

Additionally, this role will assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.

 

Candidates are required to work in-office for training and onboarding.  This is a hybrid role which requires working on-site at the plant multiple days a week.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or one-year or more prior accounting experience or related relevant work.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
