Basic Job Functions:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules that balance customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and inventory objectives. This role works closely with Operations, Commercial, Purchasing, and Finance to support on-time delivery, efficient production flow, and accurate planning data. The Scheduler also helps prioritize production needs, expedite critical orders, and support continuous improvement efforts.

 

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•    Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules to support customer and operational requirements.
•    Review demand, forecasts, and production capacity to create effective production plans.
•    Monitor work center performance to identify capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
•    Expedite production orders and coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve schedule disruptions, material shortages, and urgent customer needs.
•    Maintain and validate planning, inventory, and master data within the ERP system to ensure scheduling accuracy and data integrity.
•    Crosstrain and provide support for planning, scheduling, and inventory management activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in production scheduling/planner for a manufacturing operation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms).
  • Experience in inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, or production planning.
  • Experience utilizing reporting and data analysis tools to improve planning accuracy, inventory performance, and customer service.
