Basic Job Functions:

The Production Scheduler will work with Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on scheduling, forecasting, and inventory management goal while providing quick response to production issues.  Additional job duties include, but are not limited to:

                                   

  • Create and maintain production schedules
  • Review demand data and help develop forecasts as needed
  • Manage work center input/output
  • Collaborate  across multiple departments to address improvement opportunities  
  • Manage inventory levels to set and maintain safety stock and lead times
  • Cross-train on other duties related to planning and coordinating of OSP

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in production scheduling/planner for a manufacturing operation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) year college degree
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP Systems (AS400, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
