Starting Pay & Working Hours:

Pay starts at $30/hr, based on experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package. Office hours for this role typically start between 7am-8am and end between 4pm-5pm. Hours do vary at times based on department and/or business need. 

Basic Job Functions:

The Payroll Coordinator duties include, but are not limited to: accurately processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll and all related tasks. Maintaining teammate personnel records, month-end reporting, quarterly and annual reconciliations of 941, 940, SUTA and W2’s, and assisting in other HR functions such as hiring/onboarding, event planning, attending job fairs, open enrollment, and administration of various benefit programs. This teammate will also be responsible for managing and tracking AAP requirements all while demonstrating a high level of customer service and confidentiality, proactively communicating, and completing follow-through with our teammates and business partners.

 

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Cannot have relatives working for Nucor Fastener Indiana. Examples include a spouse, parent, child, sibling, step-relative, half-relative, or in-law.
  • Two (2) years hands-on, end-to-end payroll processing experience, including timecard corrections, payroll calculations, audits, balancing, payroll submission, funding, reconciling and filing state and local payroll taxes
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency including the ability to independently create and use pivot tables and/or VLOOKUP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field 
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Payroll Tax
  • Experience with SAP/Success Factors payroll software
