Basic Job Functions:

We're looking for a dynamic professional to lead procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services for our manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include developing vendor partnerships, tracking pricing, managing trade agreements, and driving cost reduction initiatives while upholding high-quality standards. Customer service excellence and supporting our NUCOR team are also critical aspects of this role.

Additional duties in the role are:

  • Lead procurement activities to acquire materials, components, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor partnerships to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Develop. track and maintain outside processing pricing and trade agreements.
  • Analyze sourcing information and present findings for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Evaluate vendors, conduct price benchmarking, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Conduct ongoing market and industry research to stay informed about trends and opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new potential suppliers to create competitive advantages for the company.
  • Support cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with manufacturing, logistics, and quality assurance departments.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while ensuring seamless coordination throughout the supply chain.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field OR 4 years Buyer experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive procurement and sourcing experience within industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in utilizing D365 (Microsoft Dynamics 365) to streamline operations and boost productivity.
  • Effective management of outside processing vendors, ensuring seamless integration into the supply chain.
  • Advanced expertise in demand analysis, leveraging market trend analysis and forecasting to optimize inventory management and meet customer requirements efficiently.
