Basic Job Functions:

Our Accounting Manager is a key member of the division leadership team and will be expected to lead the finance team to excellence. You will closely collaborate with managers to analyze financial, operational, and key performance metrics, to aid in the decision-making process for the Division. Our teammate will demonstrate a strong desire for professional growth, with clear aspiration to advance into a Controller or Department Manager role within 2 to 4 years.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • All accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, tax, financial and compliance reporting, monthly balancing, inventory management, and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions, etc. 
  • Oversee product costing, forecasting, and the annual budget process. 
  • Lead optimization and continuous improvement of our newly implemented Microsoft Dynamics (D365) ERP. 
  • Teammate Development - the Accounting Manager is expected to grow, develop, and prepare Finance teammates for future opportunities. 
  • Direct audit processes to maintain proper internal controls. 

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field  
  • Three (3) years of accounting/finance experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred 
  • Manufacturing experience 
  • Leadership/supervisory experience 
  • Experience leading or supporting optimization within Microsoft Dynamics (D365), or similar ERP 
  • Willing to relocate for future leadership opportunities
