Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Fastener is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accountant to support the division’s financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting processes.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting financial reporting to divisions and Corporate
  • Maintaining and continuously improving internal control processes
  • Supporting the accounting team with accounts payable processes, including check runs and vendor coordination
  • Assisting with a variety of ad hoc accounting tasks and projects throughout the month to support the needs of the division

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Desire to pursue CPA and/or MBA
  • 1-2 years Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
