Basic Job Functions:

This role consists of maintaining accurate documentation of all inbound/outbound vehicle traffic. This role will be responsible for ensuring that visitors, carriers, etc. understand Nucor Steel Sedalia's safety expectations. This role must also correctly identify inbound scrap commodities and direct drivers to various loading/unloading areas, be willing to work whenever needed, weekends and holidays. This role will be expected to be able to communicate clearly and concisely to the shipping team, scrap coordinator, and sales team. Completing a variety of other tasks related to the successful operation of the material handling department will be required. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and an extreme level of housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Computer experience - Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel

Preferences:

  • Working knowledge of logistics
  • Prior shipping/logistics/receiving experience
  • Familiarity with shipping programs (i.e. CarrierPoint, Oracle EBS, Tripware, etc...)
