Process Engineer - NSSED

Basic Job Functions:

Every Nucor teammate has the safety of themselves and others as a value.  Considering this, all candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.   The Process Engineer will primarily focus on improving the production process using analytical tools, data and teamwork to develop and execute actions and projects.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, procedures and housekeeping standards to make safety a priority always.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Material Science, Chemical, Electrical or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Prior experience in process improvement through analytical analysis.

•    Prior experience in failure analysis and corrective action process. 

•    Knowledge of the melting, casting and rolling process.
