Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Sedalia is seeking a leader committed to taking care of our customers. The successful candidate will be a safety-minded, goal-oriented, cost and quality-driven applicant.

 

Responsibilities of the District Sales manager may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing industry leading service by growing relationship with key customers
  • Finding new strategic sales opportunities
  • Submitting accurate forecasts and orders from customers while proactively solving problems
  • Coordinating support functions across production, metallurgy, shipping and finance department within the organization to help maximize Nucor's profitability by expanding our customer base
  • Required extensive travel and face-to-face interaction with all customers
  • Currently, territory will cover Minnesota, Iowa, and Northern Missouri.
  • Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree AND demonstrated sales experience in an industrial field including experience with customer service, resolving customer concerns, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • OR a minimum of 3 years sales experience in an industrial field
  • Must be willing to relocate within specific sales region. Currently, MN, IA, or Northern MO. 

Preferences:

  • Sales or leadership experience in steel or related industry
