Compensation Data
Average Salary range for the role $118,789 - $144,376.22 DOE with OT availability and opportunity for advancement.
This position is eligible for Nucor’s full benefits including bonuses, tuition assistance, stock purchase, 401(k) and profit sharing.
Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Seattle is accepting applications for the position of Industrial Electrician. Industrial Electricians work for and report to the Electrical Lead and the Electrical Supervisor in either the Melt Shop or Roll Mill. Electricians must be committed to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others around them. Electricians are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, while working individually or as a part of a team with other maintenance and production personnel. Industrial Electricians must be able to function safely in a high stress environment and will be responsible for maintaining all production and auxiliary support equipment in a craftsman-like manner.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
2-Years previous experience or formal training related to Industrial Electrician position
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician
- DC overhead cranes experience
- AC and DC Motors experience
- Variable Speed Drives experience
- Programmable Logic Controls experience
- Motor Controls and Distribution Systems experience
- Mechanical aptitude, including pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, etc.
