Basic Job Functions:
• Evaluate current product designs and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with consultant PE’s to design customized data center systems.
• Support data center customers in layout planning and material take-offs.
• Drive sales growth in the data center sector by building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Increase sales by identifying growth opportunities within the data center sector and expanding customer accounts.
• Educate and train customers on Nucor Data Systems products and capabilities.
• Develop and present 3D model concepts for data center design solutions.
• Conduct on-site inspections of data center project installations to ensure quality and alignment with specifications.
• Attend industry events and represent Nucor Data Systems as needed.
• Conduct on-site inspections of data center projects to ensure compliance with design requirements and quality standards.
• Act as a key team member, working collaboratively with inter-company departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 2–4 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Design Engineering, or Business Development, with a focus in the data center sector.
• Demonstrated experience in sales, design, or customer service within a technical field.
• Strong understanding of the data center industry and related engineering requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Familiarity with racking engineering fundamentals.
• Competence with design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with the data center sector as a Sales Engineer.
