Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Data Systems is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Regional Field Operations Supervisor. The responsibilities for this role include and are not limited to, coordinate operations and oversee employees at various constructions sites throughout the United States. A Field Operations Supervisor will be the liaison between the field operations, the customer and factory operations. The Field Operations Supervisor will be the key person in charge of overseeing the completion of multiple concurrent projects within a region with a keen awareness of employee and contractor safety, schedules, material and labor expenses and control of quality and customer expectations. A Field Operations Supervisor will also need to possess the ability to develop and oversee performance standards, coordinate project tasks according to priorities, schedule labor and crews, communicate and report effectively and strong problem-solving abilities. Other duties as assigned.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial construction or Racking/ Supply Chain industry.
- Previous experience in the Commercial/Industrial construction field and in labor management.
- Certification in OSHA 30.
- Strong knowledge in reading and understanding of plans, drawings and specifications.
- Ability to travel 5 consecutive days.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and a safe driving record.
- Able to navigate and use computer or table to access email and project information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, trade school or training program equivalent encouraged.
- Preferably 10+ years' experience as a construction foreman or superintendent
- Ability to travel weekly and for multiple weeks if necessary.
- Bilingual English and Spanish speaking and/or other languages, preferred.
- Forklift and Scissor lift certifications.
- Strong knowledge and ability to layout a project in the field with basic measuring equipment and plans.
- Generate and understand work schedules and crew scheduling.
- Supervisor experience in team development, training, and mentorship.
- Project budgeting experience, preferred.
- Prior site parameter and contractors supervisory experience.
