Lead (Containment)

Basic Job Functions:

• Provide guidance, process training, and direct daily work assignments of operators and support staff to ensure sequencing of work orders and meet expected flow of production (input – process – output)
• Track daily output of department (Daily plan vs. actual) of assigned area
• Confirm adequate personnel and supplies/materials are available to meet daily production targets and take appropriate action to close any gaps
• Coordinate with Supervisors what resources are needed and align on actions, as required
• Assist employees with work related questions and problems. Provides guidance and problem solving when issues arise
• Provides update to supervisor or manager on department progress including daily reporting, metrics, and/or project updates
• Perform (process and/or product) quality audits
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

Minimum Qualifications:

• Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the processes and systems within the assigned area
• Process flow, capacity of each operation, quality requirements, equipment, inventory transactions, PPE, and others
• Able to read and interpret documents such as reports, production work orders, blueprints, safety rules/procedures, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Possess basic skills in Microsoft (Excel & Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working for a manufacturing company
• High school diploma and or equivalent and /or related experience
• Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements
• Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
• 2 or more year of related experience
• Basic math skills- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole
