Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Data Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated BIM Coordinator to join our team. This role will coordinate Building Information Models with external design teams and clients, supporting our data center design, manufacturing, and construction operations. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership capability, and a strong focus on driving innovation, collaboration, and process efficiency across departments.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience using BIM software (Revit, BIM 360/ACC, Revizto, Tekla, Navisworks) in architecture, engineering, or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, design principles, and engineering processes within the data center or related industrial sectors.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, independently and in a team.
- Experience collaborating with contractors, subcontractors, and design teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading or mentoring BIM, drafting, or design teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (CAD drafting, engineering, architecture, construction management).
- Experience within the Data Center, Construction, or Racking/Material Handling industries.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) or ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to dynamic project environments.
