Purpose:

The Accounts Receivable and Credit Manager oversees credit administration, accounts receivable, and billing. The successful candidate is also expected to support general accounting, tax and financial reporting functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interpreting financial statements, assessing financial stability of customers, establishing credit limits, maintaining exposure within credit limits, cash applications to invoices, and ensuring timely and accurate billing.  The successful candidate will be a leader who is capable of serving our external customers, in addition to our internal Commercial and Sales Service teams and other departments.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business) or certification through a professionally recognized credit organization (Ex. NACM)
  • Prior experience with financial statement analysis or commercial banking
  • Five years of Credit/Accounting/Finance experience

Preferences:

  • Prior leadership and supervision experience
  • Experience with financial reporting, analytical tools, and risk management tools such as corporate guaranties, credit insurance, letters of credit, etc.
  • Strong computer skills that include experience using all facets of Microsoft Office software and database queries
