Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Skyline is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Accountant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
(1) Assisting with the month end close procedures 
(2) Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations 
(3) Preparing, reviewing, and submitting financial reporting to our plants, sales offices, and corporate office 
(4) Maintaining and continuously improving the internal control structure. 
(5) Assists with audits, surveys and other special projects.  
(6) Assisting in Hyperion (HFM) consolidation, reporting, report building, and maintaining correct GL Mapping. 
(7) Supports the Accounting Manager and Accounting Leads with other accounting tasks, as needed. 
(8) Successful candidates will use their excellent in-person, verbal, and written communication skills to develop relationships across Skyline Steel, Nucor, and the industry. 
(9) Demonstrates ability to lead teammates and provide guidance on accounting issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    4-year degree in Accounting or other financially related field
•    Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s in Accounting or CPA
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
