Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Skyline is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Controller. This Department Manager level position reports directly to the General Manager.  Responsibilites include but are not limited to:

 

•    Leadership role in promoting safety as a value, environmental stewardship and a proven focus on profitability.
•    Leadership role for protecting Nucor’s assets through risk-management analyses and maintaining an appropriate internal control structure, upholding GAAP, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
•    Leadership role in managing all of the divisions accounting and financial reporting, as well as collaborating with cross-functional leaders in developing and executing the strategic direction of the division.
•    Provide financial experience and leadership to critically analyze business situations and commercial conditions to formulate  strategies.  Negotiates key agreements with customers, vendors, and business partners. 
•    Leadership role in managing  IT, HR, Finance and Accounting, Tax, Credit & Collections and Contracts. 
•    Be a key business partner to commercial, operations and supply chain teams and help drive continiuos improvement across the division.
•    Represent Nucor in community relations and public affairs.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields 

  • 3 years leadership experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CMA or MBA
  • 5 years experience in financial-related positions
  • 5+ years experience in financial or leadership roles 
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • HR management experience
  • Chartered Financial Analyst
