Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 

PURPOSE:

Coordinate with the Production Supervisor to manage inventory and schedule production and delivery to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.

 

BASIC FUNCTIONS

  • Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards.
  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.
  • Coordinate the shop production schedule with the Sales Service and Production teams to minimize delivery costs while meeting customers’ needs.
  • Develop exceptional working relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Effectively communicate with customers on fabrication commitment dates and opportunities.
  • Adjust delivery schedules to accommodate emergency customer requests or other issues so that shop can operate as efficiently as possible.
  • Plan and submit inventory blanket purchase orders, manage branch inventory, and assist with quarterly inventory cycle counts.
  • Act as backup to the Logistics Administrator when needed:
    • Arrange inbound and outbound freight with approved freight companies, solicit favorable freight rates and establish daily truck schedules for the shop.
    • Approve and process freight invoices, production tags, Bills of Lading and other documents required for production of orders, scheduling and shipping.
  • Prepare necessary mill certification paperwork so that customers receive the appropriate certification of compliance with specifications.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisors.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent.
  • Previous experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
