Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities for the Shipping Lead include but are not limited to:
- Directly influence productivity by coaching, training, and developing shipping teammates while collaborating with production, ensuring safe and efficient product movement and loading.
- Complete and manage documentation, maintain inventories, operate forklifts, perform quality checks, find discrepancies, and implement solutions alongside the leadership team.
- Direct carrier traffic, coordinate inbound receiving, evaluate shipping processes for optimal space utilization, and negotiate rates with carriers for cost-effective shipments.
- Manage schedules to ensure quality and efficiency and communicate with internal and external customers for timely deliveries.
