Basic Job Functions:

• Unload production line storage areas using overhead crane.
• Load parts to trailers in a safe and efficient manner that is conducive to our outside loading process.
• Work with production lines to continuously improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Work in a team atmosphere that is dynamic in day to day responsibilities to take care of our customers.
• Operate the spot truck to move loads out of the building and in the yard.
•  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

EQUIPMENT USED:

• Overhead crane, forklift, banding tools, and  spot truck.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to operate a computer.
• Must have the ability to work in open truck bays with exposure to hot and cold temperatures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior loading experience
• Experience operating a forklift, overhead crane,  spot truck,and high capacity forklift 
• Experience with SICM
