Inside Sales Rep I

Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative include, but are not limited to:

• Successfully selling projects that are profi table tons for the division.
• Covering the DSM role in territories without an active DSM or while DSMs are unavailable.
• Generating project takeoffs and creating eQuote scopes from drawings, specifications, and engaging the Builder.
• Traveling with the DSMs to assist with Builder recruitment, project meetings, and box-by-box reviews.
• Develop and maintain a sales strategy and set expectations with our builders to ensure equal business stature.
• Multi-tasking between projects, scheduling, pricing, phone, & email correspondence.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. A strong commitment to safety in all job aspects.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in Metal Buildings, Construction, or Construction-related fields.
3. Ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications in the development of scope and pricing proposals.
4. A strong math background, technical aptitude, and experience using computer applications, as well as the ability to identify, define, and execute sales strategies.
5. Willingness and ability to travel to Builders’ offices and job sites, possibly on short notice.
   • Required to have and keep a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
6. Highly motivated, extremely competitive, can-do attitude, and passionately find-a-way to be successful.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Technical Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction, or Engineering-related fields.
