Basic Job Functions:

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead to promote and enhance Safety Excellence as Nucor Utah’s #1 value and work collectively with other day and shift supervisors to drive communication, alignment, and continuous improvement across the division.  Responsibilities also include to drive reliability initiatives, set goals, develop strategy, and communicate vision for the area of responsibility.  The position will be expected to focus on the personal and professional development of the team to create sustainability for the department.  The successful candidate could be assigned to any area of the Maintenance Department that supports the success of the division.  The Maintenance Supervisor is expected to demonstrate leadership through the Maintenance Strategy:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership role.
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical role working with and managing the reliability of industrial steel making equipment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Experience working with and utilizing an Enterprise Asset Management (CMMS) system.  
•    Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
•    Four-year college degree or other education, training or certifications that show the desire for growth and personal development.
