Basic Job Functions:

Verco Decking, Inc. is seeking a Deck Plan Supervisor in our Phoenix, AZ location.  The Deck Plan Supervisor will lead to promote and enhance Safety Excellence as Verco’s #1 value, and work collectively with other plant supervisors to drive communication, alignment, and continuous improvement in the department. The role of a plant supervisor includes but not limited to continually growing the team in Safety, Environmental, Quality and Productivity. Implement training for production teammates in all workstations, and cross training by providing ongoing mentoring, coaching and development. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, oversee day to day production operations, resolve issues that may arise, lead and direct maintenance team, review and coordinate upcoming production runs and schedules, prepare daily timesheets, interview, and hire new applicants as needed. The plant supervisor will also need to personally demonstrate the values that make up the Nucor Culture.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in leadership role.
  • Experience in production environment.
  • Strong computer skills including SAP, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferences:

  • Deck product knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of inventory management, shipping and receiving material using lean manufacturing principles is a plus
  • Proven ability to communicate with all levels of customers and internal contacts
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities within Nucor.
