Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
The role of NCF Maintenance is to be responsible for the safest, most efficient, cost effective means of operation and maintenance of our assets. Skills used on a daily basis include (but are not limited to) PLC programming/troubleshooting, AC/DC Drive programming/troubleshooting, general maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, machining and fabrication of equipment. This is a rotating shift position which includes nights, weekends, emergency overtime and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year industrial maintenance experience including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Basic knowledge of machining, welding, and equipment fabrication skills.

- Maintenance Systems and Techniques: Knowledge of servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment.
- Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing work: Developing specific goals and plans for prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing individual work and/or the work of the team.
- Communication Skills: The ability to give full attention to what others are saying and communicating information so that others will understand.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PLC Skills in AB Control Logix 5000/500, Siemens STEP 7, etc...)
- AC/DC Drive experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc…)
- Industrial Maintenance Experience
