Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel – Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Roll Mill Mechanical Supervisor. As a member of the Nucor Steel Nebraska Leadership team, the Roll Mill Mechanical Supervisor will collaborate with other departments to facilitate and maintain a strong safety culture, teamwork, communication, and the continuous improvement of our team and our process. The Roll Mill Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for leading and developing a team to work safe, collaborate with other departments, continuously improve preventative/predictive maintenance programs, resolve reactive maintenance issues, and plan down days/shutdowns/projects. This candidate is responsible for communicating department/division level goals and working with the team to develop initiatives to achieve them. The successful candidate will coach and develop their team, communicate effectively between all areas and departments, maintain and grow our culture while working to achieve our goals. Candidates must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in relocating within Nucor as future opportunities arise.
  • Working Knowledge of the rolling mill process and maintenance of associated equipment
