Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel – Nebraska has an immediate opening for the position of Logististics Coordinator I. The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the division’s shipping and logistics operations. This position works closely with the sales department and logistics team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer shipping needs. The role also involves a variety of administrative, operational, and communication responsibilities to support smooth day-to-day truck and rail logistics functions such as:
- Process billing for finished goods and truck/rail shipment.
- Assist in weighing all inbound and outbound trucks at the scale house
- Communicate effectively with truck drivers, mill personnel, and sales to resolve system or paperwork issues
- Handle administrative tasks related to shipping and logistics
- Operate and understand radiation detection equipment
- Support inventory management by running reports, creating tags, and other related tasks.
This role would require periodic overtime – both scheduled and unscheduled – may be required, including occasional weekends, holidays, and irregular hours. Candidates must be willing to work in the United States.(Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.)

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word with demonstrated ability to create and format documents and spreadsheets efficiently and accurately.
- Proficient in using office equipment such as printers, scanners, wireless devices: headpiece/microphone, and handheld radios. Able to send information amongst electronic devices with the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in freight, logistics or shipping
- Computer-based transportation management system experience
- Associate Degree in Business Management, Logistics or related field
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; candidates should be able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking individuals to ensure mutual understanding
