Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel – Nebraska is seeking to fill the position of a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator.  This role elevates the onboarding experience by sharing the Nucor story to attract top talent, foster cultural alignment, and build lasting connections that strengthen our brand and talent networks. Key responsibilities include managing job postings, interview guides, advertisements, and community outreach. The HR Coordinator also supports onboarding, new hire orientations, benefits administration, employee records, and serves as a backup for payroll and leave administration. Additional duties include coordinating teammate engagement activities and providing day-to-day HR support with a high level of customer service, confidentiality, and proactive communication.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent related experience
  • No relatives employed at the Nucor Steel-Nebraska division (Nucor Corporation Policy No 21 B 3)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior SAP or HRIS experience
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental federal and state employment laws
  • Current SHRM-CP, SHMR-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
