Basic Job Functions:

Vulcraft Nebraska is seeking applicants for the position of Logistics Administrator  in the Sales Service Department.  The successful candidate must be committed to the pursuit of excellence in safety, costs, customer relations and overall profitability of the division.  This is an hourly ROA bonus position. This position will provide administrative support to the department in a variety of functions including:

 

  • Data entry and recordkeeping for all shipping functions. 
  • Generate and process shipping documents such as bills of lading, manifests, and freight invoices. 
  • Communicate and interact effectively with CDL drivers, loading crews, jobsite crews and customers.
  • Perform department functions as back-up to dispatcher, scheduler, and traffic clerk.
  • Any other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, when required, to meet commitments.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient working with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or 4 year degree in logistics, business administration or related field
  • Prior Shipping experience and general trucking knowledge.
  • Proficient in SAP
