Nucor Detailing Center, located in Norfolk, Nebraska, is seeking to fill openings in our On-site Training Program, geared toward developing drafter/modelers with no prior experience.

You will be trained to use our customized Auto CAD or TEKLA programs to create 3D Models/Drawings of joist, deck, grating, building systems, or structural members, based on customer contract drawings. These models/drawings are then used to specify the exact information required by our various plants and divisions to produce the end products that fulfill our customers’ specific needs. You will be communicating with our customers and will be required to resolve all issues throughout the drafting/modeling process.  Candidates must be willing to relocate to NDC's Norfolk, NE facility and willing to work overtime, when required, to meet commitments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs
• Minimum two years of verifiable full-time work history or two-year college degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Drafting software
• Construction experience
