Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Cold Finish Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accounts Payable Intern. The role of the Accounts Payable Intern includes, but is not limited to, support the Finance team with day-to-day accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities will include reviewing invoices for accuracy, assisting with vendor inquiries, and ensuring timely and organized payment processing.

The role will also support maintaining accurate documentation and following established procedures to uphold internal controls. The intern will work closely with team members to ensure efficient processing of accounts payable transactions and help support overall department organization and accuracy.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Accounting Degree or currently enrolled in a Degree Program studying in the field of Accounting or Finance
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferences:

• Accounting experience or currently studying in the field of Accounting
