Basic Job Functions:

Reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and has the authority, responsibility and organizational freedom to identify quality problems and recommend solutions. The QC Technician will have full authority to stop work on all fabrication when non-conformances are found. Must be able to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork.


Responsibilities:

· Responsible for performing and coordinating all UT testing within the facility.

· Report on progress of work in process, rework/repair orders, and production problems.

· Prepare reports following UT testing in accordance with order requirements.

· Must be willing to learn and work within Invex to assist with production reporting.

· Must be able to travel on short notice as required.

· Travel may include job site and other Nucor facilities for inspection, testing and training.

· Will work on shop floor to support operations as required.

· Perform audits.

· All other duties as instructed by direct supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

CWI (Certified Weld Inspector) - Currently hold certification

·        UT Level 2 Certification – Currently hold certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience

· ERP System Experience

· Bachelor’s or technical degree helpful but not required
