Basic Job Functions:
The Project Manager Group Leader will be responsible for mentoring Project Managers, including scheduling projects, providing technical training, managing the Project Manager Team metrics to ensure the highest Quality, efficient, economical, and Safest Project Manager Team. The Project Manager Group Leader will also provide coaching and accountability for the Project Managers. In partnership with the Quality Service Supervisor, the Project Manager Group Leader’s basic job functions include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement Teammate training and PCIP programs and provide effective feedback
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and accountability to the Project Manager Team
- Develop and maintain current NWS and Project Manager policies, procedures, and practices
- Coordinate recruiting and interviews for hiring of the Project Manager Team and make hiring recommendations to the Quality Service Supervisor
- Assist the Quality Service Supervisor with budgeting and forecasting for each month
- Ensure all Projects are within budget and on-time with world class Quality
- Travel 10% - 25% of the time to locations throughout the United States.
- Must be able to work overtime when required
- Occasional off prime shift work required to meet with Teammates on other shifts
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- 3+ years of construction related experience
- Effective verbal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Construction, Structural, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school
- P.E. or S.E. license
- Strong background in the steel racking industry
- Project Management Professional Certification
- Prior experience in the areas of detailing, design, estimating, quality service, or production
- Geographical mobility and upward mobility
- Prior Leadership experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft D365
