Sales Associate

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Memphis has an opening for a Sales Associate. This is an entry-level position with the potential to advance. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: working directly with our customers, proactively selling and managing customer accounts, replying to customer inquiries, taking customer orders, setting up loads for shipment, resolving aged inventory, handling customer service issues, scheduling, reporting, completing month-end responsibilities, planning customer events and other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

This position requires Candidates to have valid work authorization in the U.S. 

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma, GED or state/local equivalent

2. 1-2 yrs experience in  Sales in manufacturing or related field

3. 2 yrs experience using Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 4 years min. experience in Sales or a similar field

2. College degree or equivalent experience in a related field

3. Prior experience in Oracle

4. Prior experience with Steel products sales. SBQ Bar sales/technical sales is a plus.
