HEAT TREAT NDT TECHNICIAN

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Heat Treat NDT Technician includes, but is not limited to, maintenance and operation of Ultrasonic 
(internal) testing equipment. This will also consist of daily tasks pertaining to safety, housekeeping, and 
assisting teammates with any and all jobs assigned.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Experience or knowledge of maintenance operation of Ultrasonic (internal) testing equipment.

2.  Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Level I Ultrasonic Inspection and/or Level II Magnetic Particle Inspection Certified. 
2. Understanding of rolling induced defects while meeting customer requirements.
3. ASNT Level I certification.
4. Two to four year technical degree or equivalent experience
