The Receiver I plays a key role in supporting business and production operations by ensuring accurate and timely receiving, inventory management, on-site deliveries, and maintaining record integrity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the stores and receiving desk
- Locating and issuing inventory items
- Operating forklifts and company trucks
- Performing cycle counts
- Maintaining housekeeping standards
- Using computerized systems to complete warehouse tasks
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Skilled in operating fork trucks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift and climb stairs regularly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift Certification
- Manufacturing experience
