Basic Job Functions:
This position is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of all environmental control equipment, systems, and programs. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting in the assurance of compliance with air and water permit regulations, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, ISO 14001, and assisting with regulatory reporting requirements. The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Commitment to safety as number one priority each shift.
- Able to successfully pass crane operator and mobile equipment requirements.
- 2 years Industrial experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and/or preventative maintenance program experience
- Project management experience
- Experience in: Electrical and mechanical maintenance, water systems operations, baghouse/emissions control operations, and pollution control equipment.
